Have you ever been in a stage of your life that you were fearful of what other people would think of you, or what they might say about you? Have you wanted someone to be your friend so bad that you started to change the way you acted, dressed and even the way you thought in hopes that they would like you back?

I’ve been there.

I’ve done it all. 

And you know what?!

It didn’t make me happier. None of it made me happier. 

Actually the complete opposite happened. It made me strive to be like someone else even more. It allowed my EGO-SELF to come forward and continue to tell me that I wasn’t enough. Then I felt even further away from the people I was trying to impress, the people I wanted to like me. 

Stepping into self is all about coming to the realization that we CANNOT please everyone, so we might as well make 100% sure that we are pleasing ourselves first. 

In today’s society this can be really hard. Social media has created a comparison culture and as we scroll aimlessly at all the perfectly curated photos those EGO-DRIVEN thoughts start to flood our minds again. 

She’s prettier than me. I would never be able to get a guy like him. Her life is perfect. She has the dream job I’ll never get. They seem to have so much time for their social life. I will never feel like I’m enough. I will never have my dream job. I will never be happy with the life I am living. 

Have you been there too? No matter what the thoughts are that flood your mind you start to believe them, even though no-one should feel this way. 

Stepping into self is about learning that every single person on this earth has their OWN path. You, me, the person next to you, our paths look different for a reason. We each have our own lessons to learn, our own passions to follow, our own love to find, our own ways of connecting to joy and happiness. 

Stepping into self is about taking the time to listen. To process. To learn. And ultimately to grow. To grow into the best version of ourselves. 

It’s important to know that we will have seasons that are more difficult than others. We will have seasons where we are being tested. We are not being tested to see if we make it and if we are worthy. We already ARE WORTHY. We are being tested to learn about ourselves, to learn about how our human selves will connect to our soul and follow the path laid out for us. 

Stepping into self is about learning who you WANT to be. Not what you think someone else wants you to be. But deep down what your soul is passionate about, what brings happiness and joy to your heart, what supports your body, mind & spirit as you move through life. 

Stepping into self is about deciding that you come first no matter what. It is about learning to say NO to the things and people that do not support you in life. It’s about turning off the notifications of the accounts that make you feel less than, unfollowing the people who make you doubt yourself. 

Stepping into self is about creating a universe that supports you. Creating a universe that challenges you to become better and stronger. Creating a universe that allows you to grow & thrive. 


So the question is How?! How do I do this? How do I step into self?

Step #1 - dream big

Where do you want to go? Who do you truly want to be? What are your biggest goals, dreams & desires for yourself? 

Remember answer these questions for YOU!

Don’t answer them because you think it’ll make your parents happy. Don’t answer them because you think it’ll get you more friends or more followers. 

Answer these questions because your heart bursts with love & excitement with the thought of them. Answer these questions because you are passionate about something and it makes you want to experience greatness. 



Step #2 - take the time to reflect on your life

Now, with the answers from the first questions it’s time to reflect on your current life

If there were NO limitations, NO fears, NO worries or doubts - what would you change in your current life?

Look at your daily routine. What doesn’t support you in achieving your dreams & desires from step 1?

Look at the people in your life. Who brings forward stress, fear, the feeling of unworthiness? 

If money were not a factor - how does your job really make you feel? Are you excited to go to work everyday? Are your coworkers people who you want to surround yourself with? Do you feel a sense of growth in your workplace, or stagnation?

Remember, we are just reflecting. Think hard. This is your life so answer yourself truthfully. 


Step #3 - changes

What little changes can you make on a daily basis to better support yourself and your dreams? What daily habits do you need to get rid of and how can you start to instil good daily habits that support you?

Now the people in your life. Those who don’t support you, those who bring out the negative in you, those who cause fears and doubts within you. It’s time to start hanging out with them less. It’s time to start putting up boundaries for yourself to safe guard your energy, to safe guard your dreams. Boundaries are NOT meant to limit you, they ARE meant to create a supportive barrier for you to help yourself succeed in life. 

Start saying no to the things, people, and experiences that DO NOT support you and your dreams & desires. 

Do you use social media? Unfollow the accounts that make you feel less than. Find supportive accounts and people to follow that keep you connected to your dreams & desires. Fill your feed with photos & people that make you excited to grow, learn and try new things. That way next time you are scrolling aimlessly (because we all know that you will be) you will be inspired, motivated and ready to continue to TRANSFORM your life! 


Step #4 - manifesting routine

Now on a daily basis you NEED to start connecting to those dreams & desires you wrote in step 1. 

Manifesting helps you to create a positive headspace to live in. It helps you to dream big and stay connected to you goals & desires for your life. Manifesting supports you!

Don’t stop at manifesting just your dreams & desires. Start manifesting what you want to happen on a daily basis right now. Is one of your positive changes to get out and enjoy nature on a daily basis?! Add this to your daily manifesting, because then it will be on your mind and it will remind you to CREATE time to get outside! 


Step #5 - repeat

Go back and repeat every step once a week, once a month, once a quarter, however often you need to! 

Stepping into self isn’t a one act show. It is a daily occurrence where you CHOOSE to live a life for yourself! 

Continue to open yourself up to listening - listen to your mind, listen to your heart & listen to your body. 

Process - process what you just heard. Take the time to understand where the negative emotions are coming from, what is triggering the positive emotions and where you feel challenges pop up. 

Learn - learn from this processing. Learn what supports you. Learn what creates those negative thoughts within. Learn how you process life. 

Grow - take the time to heal from your learnings. Rest yourself on those days that your heart is saying “I’ve had enough”. Grow from all of your learnings whether the lessons were positive or negative. Choose to take the lessons with you into your life and become better because of them. 

Remember, this isn’t easy. It can be hard. But in the end you will become STRONGER, BETTER, and you will be on your SOUL PATH. 

Stagnation, comfort zones, resisting change - they all lead you to an UNFULFILLED life. 

Growth, learning from self, exploring change, follow your soul desires, stepping into self - they will lead you to GRATITUDE, JOY, PASSION, PEACE, SUPPORT, and so much more. 


It’s time. 

Choose you. 

Choose a life where you become better because you WANT to become better. 

Step into self. 

For this is your life. You might as well be living it for YOU!
