How to Find Your Soul Path
Life is tough then you die. My mom always said this to me growing up. In some ways it’s true and in other ways it’s completely wrong.
Life is challenging. Being a human is hard. We are forgetful. We feel pain, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Our ego-minds easily fill with judgment, hatred, separation, resentment, and guilt. Everything is always changing causing difficulties and obstacles that we have to live through.
Life can be tough and you do eventually die.
The problem with this statement is that it tells you life is meant to be hard, which I don’t believe.
Life is meant to be enjoyable, magical, fulfilling, and most importantly filled with love.
There is magic in simplicity.
We are meant to live in the present moment because it’s the only moment we have influence over. Meaning you cannot change the past and you have no idea what the future will bring, however you can shift the way you are behaving, thinking, choosing, and acting in this present moment. When you learn your power of shifting this present moment into an experience you enjoy, you will forever enjoy the simplicity of life.
Now, you truly came here because of the title of this post, How to Find Your Soul Path. You believe there is more for you in life and you are on this spiritual journey ready to uncover your purpose and how to live in alignment.
It all starts with understanding what your soul path is, how to find it, and what to do to live in alignment with it.
As a Spiritual Mentor & Author, Psychic and Intuitive Guide I’ve often reflected on what my soul path is and what it means to me to know my soul path. Honestly, it’s one of the biggest questions I’ve reflected on and I avoid focusing on it with my clients in every conversation. Not because I am afraid of the topic, more because I think we place the idea of our soul path & purpose on a pedestal, which does more harm than good.
We are setting expectations and big grand ideas onto what we think our soul path should or shouldn’t be. We get stuck in the details trying to specify exactly what our soul path looks like. We focus on how other people will perceive us when we follow our soul path. We over complicate the amount of work it will take to live in alignment with our soul path.
These are some of the thought patterns that cycle through your mind when you think about the term soul path, or soul purpose.
Life is already difficult enough, why are we putting so much effort and energy into the discovery of our soul path when we could be experiencing the magic in simplicity right now.
Here are the top 5 things you NEED TO KNOW when it comes to finding your soul path.
1 Your soul path is not about the destination.
It literally says PATH, which implies journey, adventure, and experience.
When I hear the word path I immediately think of hiking through the wilderness. I have been on many backcountry hiking adventures, camping trips, and I’ve lived in two different small mountain towns.
Whether you enjoy hiking and the wilderness or not, let me share the spiritual significance of the word path.
“A rugged terrain that tests your abilities, mentally, physically, and emotionally. All the while being surrounded by the magic of Mother Earth, and feeling rooted in strength, perseverance, patience, adaptability, and courage. The path asks you to trust that it will lead the way, you don’t need to know what’s beyond the bend for you have everything you need to get there. A path gives you the contrast of pushing your limits and expanding your perspective. The person who completes the path is different from the person who starts the path, but the magic is in the person who travels the path.”
2 Living in alignment with your soul path is meant to feel good.
Yes there will still be challenges and difficulties that pop up, yet you are able to flow through each one with ease and grace, allowing love to guide you.
We focus our soul path too much on what we need to DO rather than who we need to BE. Being is about experiencing, feeling, presence, and consciousness. You are choosing to be here right now and read this. Are you allowing the words to touch your soul so you can feel the meaning behind them? Are you grounded and focused on your current experience or is your mind filled with thoughts of the past or future? Are you noticing the thoughts that are popping up in your head and consciously choosing to think better feeling thoughts and bring your focus back to the words in front of you?
Stop focusing on what you need to do to live in alignment with your soul path and instead start focusing on how you want to feel.

3 Simplicity is magic.
Your soul path is magic. Simplicity is your soul path.
Stop overwhelming yourself with this big massive plan and a million steps to following your soul path. It’s not meant to be complicated, so stop giving yourself a headache overthinking it all.
Have you ever been for a walk and seen wildlife? Whether it was a bird, a deer, a coyote, or something else, did it take your breath away? Did you stand there and soak in the energy that animal was sharing? This simple moment between you and Mother Earth was magical. By allowing yourself to be grounded and present in the moment in order to witness the animal, you opened yourself to be witness to the magic that surrounds you in every single moment.
Being present and aware is the greatest gift we can give ourselves because it’s in this space where we can be witness to the Divine Magic that surrounds us in everyday life.
Remember, your soul path is a path which you are being guided down moment to moment. When you choose to enjoy the simple things in life everything becomes more enjoyable.
4 As Emily Anne Brant says “It’s not about shining the inner spark, it’s about being the whole damn fire.”
Our soul burns a fire deep within us for everything we are passionate about, and everything that brings us joy and peace. Why would we refrain from following our passions and feeling joy and peace?
We have all felt the inner spark at different times in our life. Can you think back to what you were doing? What were you experiencing? How did that inner spark feel? Follow the inner spark and the more you shine it, the more it allows you to release the fire of passion within you.
You came here as a soul to live out a life in the best way you can. Your soul is unique and you are meant to follow your soul’s guidance in order to release the whole damn fire. Do you know how your soul speaks to you? Your soul is naturally attracted to certain things and passionate about certain topics. When you follow these passions and what lights you up you allow the whole damn fire to be released through you.
Your inner spark and the whole damn fire are guiding you on your soul path.

5 Pay attention to what does not feel good.
One of the many ways the voice of your soul speaks through you is through your emotions. A lot of people find themselves in a place of saying “I don’t know what lights me up.” or “I don’t know what I am passionate about.” If you find yourself in this place that is completely normal.
Your soul path is about gathering information along the path so you can create alignment each new day. You don’t create alignment once and then you are good to go. Once you are aware and fully conscious you get to make a conscious decision every single day to stay in alignment or your fall out of alignment. Every single day you gain new information on how you can fall out of alignment, how you can get aligned once again, and how you can stay in alignment. The more information you have the more wisdom you can integrate as you flow down your soul path.
When you find something that doesn’t feel good, make note of it so you can either experience it less, not at all, or change your response to it altogether.
When you find something that doesn’t feel good you need to remember to release that energy from your being. Often in life when we don’t feel good we end up attaching ourselves to a story as to why we don’t feel good. This perpetuates the bad feeling.
In order to create alignment with your soul path if you are not feeling good, you need to first release the energy of your current experience. You may be releasing emotions, thoughts, fears, worries, bad habits, or resistance you’ve been carrying. Either way, take note when you don’t feel good, choose to release that energy so you can move forward feeling better.

There is so much more that I could share about finding your soul path, especially when I get into one on one conversations because I love guiding people to become more self aware and connect with their souls.
