In this blog I am going to share 3 different ways to let go and release spiritually, so you can feel safe and free to live a life you love.

Let Go & Release Unsupportive Thoughts

In order to align yourself with an uplifting vibration of energy you need to acknowledge your thoughts that are unsupportive. We can oftentimes lead ourselves to overthinking, creating stories of worry and doubt, or we even become fixated on a thought pattern that was created from a past experience.

Your thoughts can support you to create a life that feels good and they can help you to attract your desires. If you have thoughts that make you doubt yourself, or make you believe you are unworthy then it’s time to let go and release those thoughts.

Here is a spiritual practice of letting go and releasing unsupportive thoughts.

1 - ACKNOWLEDGE - State to yourself, “I acknowledge the thought that is making me feel bad. (clearly state the thought to yourself). I’ve been down this thought pattern many times and it doesn’t feel good. I want to create a new story, a supportive thought pattern.”

2 - AFFIRM & RELEASE - Focus on your breath in order to let go of the old thought. Inhale and affirm a simple new thought, “I am safe.” Exhale with the release statement, “I let go of this worry.” Repeat this breathing exercise with the statements for 5-10 breaths or as long as it takes to feel better.

3 - REPEAT this exercise anytime you acknowledge the unsupportive thought.

Our thoughts are 90% repetitive from one day to the next, so it takes time and a commitment to change your thought pattern. By ignoring, avoiding or denying that the thought is there you are holding onto the energy that doesn’t feel uplifting. By supporting yourself through this practice you are transmuting the energy in your body and creating an energy that feels good.

Let Go & Release Heavy Emotions

The energy of emotions can sit stagnant inside of our bodies for generations, meaning your parents and grandparents can pass on emotional wounds they experienced before you were born. Ignoring and burying your emotions is unhealthy and it's time to start allowing yourself to process and heal the emotional wounds by letting go and releasing the heavy emotions.

Here is a spiritual practice of letting go and releasing heavy emotions.

1 - Acknowledge that you are feeling an emotion that is heavy. “I feel ____.”

2 - Call on support from your Divine Team of Angels, Ancestors, Spirit Guides and Animal Guides to comfort you as you flow through the emotion to release it. “Angels please come to me now and comfort me. I need your help.”

3 - Focus on your breath as the emotion flows through you and is released.

Emotions only last for 6-90 seconds, it’s the story you tell yourself while you are in the emotion that ends up perpetuating the emotion and making it last longer. When you choose to slow down and breathe through the emotion as a form of release it allows you to feel the emotion, flow through it properly and thus let go of the energy.

Let Go & Release Desires & Manifestations

When you grip onto your desires and manifestations and hold high expectations for them, you end up blocking yourself from receiving them. You cannot force the Universe to bring you anything, and this will build an excess of pressure in your life.

Letting go and releasing your desires and manifestations is not about saying you don’t want the energy, it’s about releasing your fixation on the end result. Your fear of the unknown can lead you to believe that you need to control everything, when in reality the Universe is more limitless than your mind could ever comprehend when it comes to creating your desires.

You are looking at your manifestations from a limited perspective and any sort of plan you can create for said manifestation to come true is nothing in comparison to the Divine Plan. By letting go and releasing your desires and manifestations through spiritual practice you allow the energy of flow to guide your desires to you in the right way and at the right time.

When you are fixated on your desires it’s typically because you are saying, “I’ll be happy when…”, or “I will relax when…”. The Universe wants you to relax now, it wants you to be happy now. Being in the energetic frequency of your manifestations now is what allows the manifestation to flow to you much faster. Learn more about the Law of Attraction in this blog.

Here is a spiritual practice to let go and release your desires and manifestations.

1 - Grab your journal and write out your desires and manifestations. Next write down how you wish to feel when they come true. You are looking for specific emotions.

2 - Thank the Universe for bringing your desires into your reality. Appreciation is a beautiful way to attract what you desire, and by saying thank you beforehand you are putting yourself in the energy of already having received your desires.

3 - Go do something that allows you to feel the emotions you believe your manifestations will bring you. For instance, if you desire love from someone then determine a way you feel loved and go do that for yourself.

4 - Anytime your mind wanders to doubting or worrying if your manifestation will come true, use the exercise above for releasing unsupportive thoughts and use a supportive mantra at the end to carry trust.

Letting go and releasing your desires and manifestations is about making it clear to yourself and the Universe what you want, and then focusing on creating the emotions and feelings you desire to experience now. Check out the blog 3 Steps for Building Trust in the Universe as another tool to support you for this specific release practice.

Remember, letting go and releasing as a spiritual practice is about creating energetic space for blessings to flow into your life. When you are holding onto energy from thoughts, emotions and habits that are unsupportive and unhealthy you are resisting that which you desire.

In order to go deeper into your release practice you need to check out the EBook I wrote called, Releasing Guidebook. It gives you many more exercises, practices and spiritual rituals to help you in your release process.
